Marketing to Offline Businesses

» by Marcus in: Articles

There is a great interest in the Internet Marketing community right now over marketing internet services to offline businesses. You may have already come across one or two of the threads in different marketing forums.

One of the main reasons for interest in this area is because it requires little skill to provide a quality service to business owners who know very little about the internet. In fact you are like a God send to them. Most offline business owners already have enough work to do running their existing business without having to get their head round all their ‘IT stuff’ as they see it.

The key is to not under value your skills and knowledge. Because what is ordinary and easy for you, is difficult to impossible for them. They need you!

There are a whole variety of services you can offer an offline business.

Here is a list of some of the services you could offer:

  • Lead catcher system and autoresponder set up
  • Search engine opimization
  • Website creation and development
  • Submitting Craigslist ads for the business
  • Writing and submitting online press releases for the business
  • Writing a lead generating report to pre-educate prospects who come to the site.

In order to get started with marketing to offline businesses, I highly recommend a report called ‘Offline Goldmine’. It provides a series of simple to implement ways for getting offline business clients who will willingly pay serious money for your services. It is written by someone who has been marketing to local businesses for many years. He knows what works and is sharing some of his secrets.

Here is some of what you will find in this report

On page 6…. How to get more clients than you can handle

On page 7… How to do workshops to generate clients

On page 11…How to get an army of salespeople bringing you in qualified leads along with the exact ad that has been proven to be successful

On page 17…How to get the government to bring in sales for you

The exact letter that is used to do that is included

On page 31…How to price your services and how to package your services

And if you don’t want to do the work yourself, there is an option to outsource it with exact prices provided

Give or not to give

» by Marcus in: Articles

>ou’ve been around internet marketing for a little while you must have noticed that there has been a big swing by many marketers to give away some ‘quality’ information and to start relating with their lists. I placed ‘quality’ in inverted commas simply because it is the marketers them selves who are claiming it to be quality.

I say, let the consumer decide if it is quality or not as in some cases it is quality in name and not in substance. To me, something is quality if it provides a meaningful and measureable help to my business or business understanding or to me as a person.

As ‘giving’ has become the trend in marketing, it will soon emerge who is really giving and who is only using it as a marketing ploy.

Having said that it is still better than the ‘bleed them dry’ approach that was popular for a while.

I’ll be back as soon as I have some worthwhile information for you

The Three Vital Factors to get More Sales

“Those who reach decisions promptly and definitely know what they want, and generally get it. The leaders in every walk of life decide quickly and firmly. That is the major reason why they are leaders. The world has the habit of making room for people whose words and actions show that they know where they are going.”

That was from Napoleon Hill and is the basis for the next three points.

Limited Quantity (Scarce). Whenever a new innovation is launched like the xbox or tickets for a major concert are on sale they tend to sell out real quick. Why? Scarcity. Some new electronic gaming systems have been sold for over 10 times their retail value because there is few about. Concert tickets go on sale by ticket touts who ramp the price by 2 or 3 times the value. Scarcity sells. It’s a powerful motivation for someone to buy.

Limited Time (Urgency). Almost all of us can remember having missed opportunities simply due to delay, especially at the sales where the best items go to the early birds. There’s nothing quite like a ticking clock to get people to act fast; they face regret if they don’t.

Social Proof (Trust). What do other people say or think about it. We are all motivated by social proof, be it in the form of testimonials, endorsements or reviews. And it’s no less so in the sales process as people want the security of knowing that what they are intending to buy has been proven to work by people like themselves. People also like to see that a lot of other people have already bought; they then feel comfortable buying the product themselves.

Provided that your prospect is excited about your product then what is stopping them from buying? Very simply they think to return to your offer later after cooking, tidying up, finishing some other work, etc. But very rarely will they return to your site; you’ve lost another sale! Why? Because you didn’t provide them with any sense of urgency, there was no reason to buy now.

FORCE YOUR PROSPECTS TO THINK QUICK AND ACT NOW

Now, on the internet so many marketers use deceptive ‘limited time offers’ to sell their products. They say that their offer and or bonuses are only available for 5 hours, 4 days, 7 days or whatever. BUT people are getting wise to the fact that those offers will be there in six months time and completely unchanged. It means the seller is lying. Who is going to buy from a liar? Not me; not you, not anyone.

There is software available that offers a genuine fast action discount and it will not be available if they leave the page or do not act within the designated time. In no shape ort form will they be able to return and get the ’special offer’. It’s gone for good…for them. That’s powerful motivation. In fact, you can close the offer to them, remove some of the bonuses, increase the price, pitch them a different offer, and drive them to a survey to figure out why they didn’t buy (great market research). It’s up to you. You’re in control.

Plus a side-benefit is that your visitors, customers and subscribers will become trained to know that when you mention limited quantity or limited time … you mean it. That means greater credibility and more sales now and for future offers as well.

Still here? Check out the software in action and at the
same time get your FREE report. Mark Fleming

What Makes a Cool Internet Marketing Membership Site?

Membership sites dedicated to Internet Marketing are, it appears, multiplying daily. The diversification of membership sites is also prolific with often several membership sites serving one small niche. So how do you choose?

Look at Squidoo for example. I know of three membership sites entirely dedicated to using Squidoo as a means to get leads, sales, traffic, etc and by all accounts they are providing great information. If you specifically want to get to the bottom of a very small niche then such a membership site may be for you.

When considering a membership site in the internet marketing niche I suggest you look for the following:

You want a hands on Admin that is there to sort things out and is open to dialogue and suggestions for improvement to the membership site. There’s nothing worst than paying money to someone and hardly ever getting input from them.

Do they have their own dedicated server or two? Now personally I would not put my sites on a membership site’s server unless I was totally satisfied that I will be a long term member (You don’t want to go moving all your sites after one or two months of membership do you?) I would also need to be fully satisfied with the service, the support, the quality of servers and the history and reliability of the admin and his or her staff.

I have only found one membership site that I have been willing to place my sites on their server. It’s a great bonus to get hosting in a membership site provided you are happy to use it.

In the internet marketing niche there is a daily arrival of new products; you must be getting several announcements in your email everyday. So, what is good and what is bad? What do you need and what do you not need? How useful is the software, ebook or etc in real terms, not just what the email promotion or sales letter say? A cool membership site will have some of these new arrivals as free downloads for members plus a forum thread dedicated to unbiased appraisal of the newly released products. Believe me some of the so called revolutionary products have failed dismally on appraisal in one membership site I belong to.

I would also like to see a section on training to do with the niche I am involved in. If there are modules available or at least threads in the forum detailing strategies that can be implemented then that’s great.

Although there is nothing wrong with belonging to several membership sites within the same niche realistically you cannot spend a lot of time at all of them; you’ll naturally find the one or two that you are most comfortable with. Additionally if you are paying for membership you want to get your moneys worth and any way how many could you afford to join?

One particular membership site I am a paid up member of and find extremely good value for money is Rich-Jerks.com Its got absolutely nothing to do with ‘The Rich Jerk’ but is run by Noah Fleming who is a great hands on admin. Every week several new plr packages are uploaded for our taking and comes with unlimited hosting on very fast servers. There’s a great forum too
